Government of Pakistan offers admissions to both Foreign nationals and Overseas students of Pakistani origin in different institutions of Pakistan in the fields of Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), Engineering( B.Sc, B.E) and Pharmacy(Pharm D) under Self Finance Scheme for the academic session 2010-2011
Details:
1). Higher Education Commission of Pakistan will make selection purely on merit on the basis of marks achieved in Higher Secondary School or Equivalent Examination.
2). 137 seats are available for admission in Medicine (MBBS) in different medical colleges.Annual tuition fee is in the range of 5,000 US $ to 12,000 US $ and varies from college to college.
3). 22 seats are available for Dentistry(BDS) in 5 dental colleges,tuition fee is 6,000 US $ in 2 dental colleges while the other 3 dental colleges have annual fee structure of 10,000 US $.
4). 108 seats are available for admission in Pharmacy ( Pharm D) .
5). A total number of 238 seats are available to students who wish to study Engineering in different engineering universities.
Eligibility:
1). The student should be a foreign national or a Pakistani citizen with dual nationality.
2). The student should have passed Intermediate/Higher Secondary School Examination or any equivalent examination.
3). Those students who have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology& English in Inter/ Higher Secondary School/Equivalent are eligible only to apply for admission in Medicine, Dentistry & Pharmacy.
4). Those students who want to apply for Engineering should have studied Physics, Chemistry , Mathematics & English in Inter/ Higher Secondary School or Equivalent examinations.
5). Only those students can apply for admission who have passed Higher Secondary School Exam or Equivalent not before 2008.
6). IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL 500 is necessary for students who have passed Higher Secondary School or Equivalent exam in a medium other than English.
7). The students who wish to enroll in Medicine/ Dentistry should have a SAT II score of 550 or they will have to appear in the Entry Test of the institutions.
Required Documents:
1). Attested photocopies of Higher Secondary School Certificate or Equivalent examinations.
2). 4 recent photographs.
3). Copy of Passport for foreign nationals.
4). Equivalence Certificate from IBCC Islamabad.
5). Copy of the Result of Entry Test or SAT II score.
Application Procedure:
1). The student should submit 4 seats of application forms,each seat must include the documents mentioned above.
2). Last date for the submission of application forms is 30 September, 2010.
