SAARC SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MBBS IN BANGLADESH

Every year Bangladesh offers scholarship to SAARC countries students for Medical studies in Bangladesh.The students which are selected for scholarship pay the  tuition fees same to the local students.The tuition fee is very low and it is about 4000 Bangladeshi Taka per year.SAARC Students are selected by their respective Ministry of education.
               The medium of instruction in the medical institutions is English.The medical curriculum and institutions are recognised by World Health Organisation.14 seats are available every year for Pakistani students under this scholarship scheme.Pakistani students are selected by the Ministry of Education,Govt: of Pakistan and they have to appear in a special test conducted by the National Testing Service(NTS)  Islamabad.Usually the Test is arranged in September  and classes starts in January each year.Recently NTS Test is abolished for Pakistani students.

International Students can also apply for admission under Self finance scheme which costs US $3,000 per year.Pakistani Students should first get No Objection certificate(N.O.C) from the Ministry of Education and then directly submit their applications to BANGLLADESH HIGH COMMISSION,ISLAMABD if they want to apply for admission under Self finance scheme.Students belonging to Non SAARC countries or who want to apply on self finance can get application forms & complete admission information by sending an email to mbbsadbd@yahoo.com

Government of Iran Scholarships for Foreign Students

The Scholarship Council of the Government of Islamic Republic of Iran offers Scholarships to foreign students for pursuing their academic studies in Iran.The scholarship is granted annually for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level courses in all fields including Medicine (MBBS) and Engineering.

Benefits:
                 * Selected students will be paid monthly for their expenditures.
   
                *  Free dormitory and Health insurance will be provided to students.

                 * Married students will be paid monthly for their expenditures and they will be given free accommodation.

Conditions: 

           * Selected students have to learn Farsi language for 6 months at Imam Khomeini International university Tehran.

           * Selected students will start classes in September and January of each  academic year.              

Eligibility:
                  1. Minimum Marks: 70 %

                  2. Age limit for Undergraduate,Postgraduate and Master level courses is 20,25 and 31 years respectively.



Requirements: 
                          1. Complete application form.

                          2. Transcript of all academic documents attested by Iranian Embassy or Consulate in your     respective country.

                          3.  Photocopy of Passport.

                          4.  2 photos.

                          5.  Written application about your studies in Iran.

                          6.  Applicants for MA and PhD level courses have to provide 3 letters of recommendation from their previous educational institution.


Deadline:      
                  Last date for the submission of applications is 5th May and 6th September each year for September and January semesters respectively.

Selection:  
                  Selected candidates are announced  on 6th July and 6th November each year.

Admission Requirements for Medicine (MBBS):

1).The students applying for admission in Medicine(MBBS) must hold one of the following qualifications:

     b). Canadian Grade 12 or 13 with 85% aggregate.

     c). International Baccalaureate (IB) with 33 points.   
  
     d). American High school Diploma (Advance Placement) with cGPA 3.5 (out of 4).
  
     e). B.Sc Honors with 2nd class or cGPA 3.5 (out of 4).

         * International students having other qualifications should contact the Admission office of IMU for the acceptance of their qualifications.

         * All qualifications must include Biology, Chemistry, Physics/ Mathematics.

2). The applicants should have a minimum IELTS score of  7.0.

SAARC Scholarships Scheme For The Year 2010-2011

 The Government of Bangladesh has offered 10 scholarships to SAARC Countries students under the SAARC Scholarships Scheme for the year 2010-2011.

Details: 

* The scholarships will be awarded for graduate studies & doctoral research in Bangladeshi universities.

* The scholarship will be for the normal tenure of the course for which the scholarship is awarded.

* Selected students will be given a monthly maintenance amount of 15,000 Taka per month.

* Selected students will be given 4,000 Taka for house rent.

* The students will be given a grant of 3,000 Taka for books & stationery.

* Selected students will be given a grant of 25,000 Taka per year for internal travel in Bangladesh.

Terms & Conditions: 

* The scholar will be a full time student or research worker under an approved guide on a subject selected by him & approved by the host institution.

* The scholar shall not accept any appointment, elsewhere paid or unpaid.

* Air ticket will be provided to the students by their own government.

* The scholar shall present, through his supervisor, half - yearly report on the progress of work.

* Final selection & placement of the students in the university will be made by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh.

 Eligibility: 

                     * The student should should have a First Class or High 2nd Class Bachelor's / Master's Degree, intending to pursue higher studies leading to a Master's / PhD Degree.

                     * Those SAARC member countries in which undergraduate level education is not available, a student from such countries with First Division in Higher School Certificate or equivalent exam, will be selected for undergraduate studies in Bangladesh.

                     * The student should be preferably under 25 years of age.

Government Of Romania Scholarships For Foreign Students

Government of Czech Republic Scholarships 2011 for Foreign Students

Ministry of Education,Youth & Sports, Government of Czech Republic offers scholarships to foreign students from developing countries for study in the government educational institutions of Czech Republic for the year 2011/2012.
