SAARC Scholarships Scheme For The Year 2010-2011

 The Government of Bangladesh has offered 10 scholarships to SAARC Countries students under the SAARC Scholarships Scheme for the year 2010-2011.

Details: 

* The scholarships will be awarded for graduate studies & doctoral research in Bangladeshi universities.

* The scholarship will be for the normal tenure of the course for which the scholarship is awarded.

* Selected students will be given a monthly maintenance amount of 15,000 Taka per month.

* Selected students will be given 4,000 Taka for house rent.

* The students will be given a grant of 3,000 Taka for books & stationery.

* Selected students will be given a grant of 25,000 Taka per year for internal travel in Bangladesh.

Terms & Conditions: 

* The scholar will be a full time student or research worker under an approved guide on a subject selected by him & approved by the host institution.

* The scholar shall not accept any appointment, elsewhere paid or unpaid.

* Air ticket will be provided to the students by their own government.

* The scholar shall present, through his supervisor, half - yearly report on the progress of work.

* Final selection & placement of the students in the university will be made by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh.

 Eligibility: 

                     * The student should should have a First Class or High 2nd Class Bachelor's / Master's Degree, intending to pursue higher studies leading to a Master's / PhD Degree.

                     * Those SAARC member countries in which undergraduate level education is not available, a student from such countries with First Division in Higher School Certificate or equivalent exam, will be selected for undergraduate studies in Bangladesh.

                     * The student should be preferably under 25 years of age.

* Application forms are available on the websites of  SAARC  & Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.


* Last date for the submission of application forms is 31 December, 2010. 

Government Of Romania Scholarships For Foreign Students

Ministry of Education & Research, Government of Romania offers scholarships to foreign students  for study in Romanian universities & higher educational institutions.

Programmes Offered: The following programmes are offered at both Undergraduate & Postgraduate levels:

- Medicine

- Dentistry

- Pharmacy

- Civil Engineering

- Aerospace Engineering

- Computer Science

- Information Technology

- Economics

- Chemistry

- Architecture

- Communication Sciences

 - Genetics

- Biotechnology

- Oil & Gas

Required Documents:

* Academic documents translated into English, Romanian, German or French Language.

* Attested copy of Baccalaureate diploma/A Levels/Higher School Certificate or Equivalent examination ( For Undergraduate studies).

* Medical certificate.

* Attested copy of Birth certificate.

* English, Romanian, German or French Language proficiency certificate.( Otherwise students are required to learn Romanian language for 1 year in Romanian Universities).

* Attested copy of graduation certificate (For Postgraduate or PhD level studies).

* Attested copy of Passport.

Application Instructions:

* Interested students should send  their application forms along with required documents to the Romanian Ministry of Education & Research through Romanian Embassy in their Countries or through their country's embassy in Romania.

* Application forms are available at Romanian embassies worldwide.

 Application Deadlines:

* There is no application deadline for PhD level studies.

*  Last date for Undergraduate & Graduate level studies is 15th September of  each year.

* Last dates for Postgraduate studies in Medicine are 30th November & 31st March of each year.

Government of Czech Republic Scholarships 2011 for Foreign Students

Ministry of Education,Youth & Sports, Government of Czech Republic offers scholarships to foreign students from developing countries for study in the government educational institutions of Czech Republic for the year 2011/2012.

Programmes Offered:

* Programmes taught in Czech Language:

- Medicine ( Doktor Mediciny-MUDr.)

- Dentistry (MDDr)

- Pharmacy (PharmDr)

- Veterinary Medicine (MVDr)

- Bachelor degree courses

- Master degree courses
      
* Students have to study at Charles University Center for Language & Preparatory Studies, prior to start  regular studies in Czech language.

* Programmes taught in English; 


- Follow up Master Studies & Doctoral degrees in: 

- Civil Engineering,

- Economics

- Agriculture

- Information Science

- Business                                 

Required Documents:

- Bachelor & Master Degree Programmes:

* Attested Copy of Higher Secondary School Exam/A level/ F.A/F.Sc or equivalent exam.

*  Copy of the H.SC/ F.Sc/ A levels or equivalent certificate translated into Czech Language and attested by the Czech Embassy.

* Attested copy of Birth certificate.

* Medical certificate in English or Czech language, not old more than 2 months.

* Specification of study plans.

* Curriculum Vitae.

* 1 Passport size photograph.

* Copy of Passport pages with previous visas if any.

Application Procedure:

* Interested students should submit their application forms along with required documents to Czech Republic Embassies in their respective countries.

* Application forms should be submitted to Czech Republic Embassy before 15 January, 2011.
